This year we will be going to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Josh, Melody, Sarah and Morgan will be down for several days. Corrie and Curtis will be with Curtis's family for Thanksgiving day but may try to get down to Carolina for a day or two before or after. Dave most likely will come down but may stay with Jody and Mandy. We are planning on having Aunt Maggie with us too. She always brings the best collards and creamed corn.

We all have so much to be thankful this year. Tim and Becca are in Murfreesboro, TN now and adjusting to life out of the Air Force. Tim joined the Air National Guard to keep the ties for retirement's sake and a little extra income. They had a great time in Mexico for Becca's sister's wedding. Tim said he had never experienced such luxury and they think they might just go back one day. Sarah was well for the festivities for which we are very thankful.

Mel and Josh are expecting another little one on Mel's birthday. She's just about done with the "ickies" but Josh still goes out to the garage to make coffee. What a gentleman!

Beth and TJ have five beautiful and fine children. We are so grateful for a healthy delivery for them. They will have all of TJ's family with them for Thanksgiving. What a blessing!

Fall Festival at the Stites

Fall Festival time was great fun! There was quite a wonderful time at Beth and TJ's church with games and crafts and food. Grammy Stites sent the nice pumpkin containers to hold all the "loot" which was very helpful afterwards to keep things separated. Probably they will be used again next year.

Papa TJ and the three oldest carved the pumpkin and TJ roasted the seeds. Yum!

After the pumpkin had decorated the front porch for a few days Nana cut it up and got enough meat to make two pies. We froze one container to use for Thanksgiving but had to make at least one pie as an after delivery celebration dessert.

Sophie was a beautiful ballerina, Mya was a fairy princess, Ryan was a fierce warrior complete with camouflaged face and Justin was a bumble bee.

Justin thought a nice bath in the sink was just as much fun as carving a pumpkin!

Welcom Jason David Stites!

"Welcome to the planet! Welcome to existance! Everyone's here!"

Jason David was born November 1, 2008
Weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz. and 19 inches tall.

Everyone's home now and starting to get into a groove.

Nana was around for 3 weeks, one before and two after his birth. Aunt Corrie and Grandpa O came for a short visit and the Corrie and Curtis came again for just a day to "play".

The next wave of help will be for Thanksgiving when the entire Stites crew will be there. What a nice way to start life!
