Stites and Company

The following is a little catch up for Beth and TJ's family. Jason was born Nov 1st and Grandpa and Nana were able to visit then. All the Stites family was there for Thanksgiving. After that Sophie had her big 5th birthday, the family said good bye to Sage and then the flu set in. Many nights on the living room floor with towels and buckets. NO FUN!

And then Christmas came. Wonderful time!

But cabin fever can produce very creative parents... thus the crazy hair day!
The next big event will be the refinishing of the bathroom. A very fine man from their church donates his time to help out people in the church. So for a week he and TJ will be working in the bathroom to bring it up to par. Beth and the kids will be farming themselves out to several wonderful friends for the day time and then "winging it" for the night time hours. (They're supposed to have working plumbing every night but just in case there may have to be a potty chair)

Then in late February Beth and the kids are planning a trip to Sneads Ferry to visit with the extended family there. Cousin Maggie and her family will be there that weekend too. They are just returning, stateside, from Israel. What a wonderful reunion to look forward to. So there! You're caught up on the Stites family.... a little.

Answers to prayer!

The following is an excerpt from Mel and Josh's Blog.

"Well we have some exciting news to share with all of those who have been following our journey to become New Tribes Missionaries with New Tribes Aviation. We just returned from a 5 day intensive evaluation required for all Pilot/Mechanic Candidates at NTMA HQ in McNeal, AZ. What an amazing experience. After five days of intensive Flight tests, Mechanic projects and personal interviews, the Leadership Team at NTMA McNeal has said “YES” we are recommended for continued training as a Pilot/Mechanic with New Tribes Aviation."

Simmons's in Arizona

Josh, Mel, Sarah and Morgan are in Arizona for a week. Josh will be testing with the mission to determine just how they might serve with the mission. They both will be involved in classes of various sorts. I know they will appreciate prayer. They saw God's faithfulness during their travels where flying standby can be very unpredictable. More details to come.

The New "Crazy" Year Begins

Sometimes, when you don't get enough sleep, or you have done WAY too many loads of laundry, or held one too many icky sick kids, or don't know how to comfort your feverish child, or have run out of energy to even think about what to fix for dinner, or have answered just a few hundred questions and don't know whether you gave the right answer or not you have to have a CRAZY HAIR DAY!
