Dave's move

What a weekend! Thanks for praying! The weather couldn't have been better. After we finished moving all the stuff in the rain started. It was cool enough to work hard and warm enough to have the windows open. Mark was invaluable and provided not only his personal truck but his muscles. You all should have seen him and Dave literally carry the couch up the stairs on its end.
All of Dave's stuff is in now plus his new furniture. The washer and dryer still need to be moved in so this Saturday those will go in. (Dave is out of town all week for work)

Mel, Josh and the girls came over on Saturday after most of the things were in and set up and Dave got some yummy Mexican takeout and we all sat around his new dining room table for dinner. However, as we were enjoying our meal, the doorbell rang. It was the neighbor underneath Dave reporting that water was pouring into their bathroom through the ceiling vent. Melody and Sarah had taken a nice relaxing bath in the jet tub in Dave's room and evidently there is something amiss with the plumbing/drain. Of course everyone tensed up and immediately Josh called people to get advice as to how to fix it. The neighbors, very sweet retired couple, were super kind and helpful. They knew just who to call to report it. Turns out that the homeowners association handles situations like this. They actually called Dave that evening to say they would be out on Monday to work on it. But for a moment the reality of the weight of homeownership was heavy on Dave. Needless to say, no baths for a little while. Sorry Mel.

There will be pictures soon
